SPONSOR A CHILD

This year, we are starting a campaign to help secure the education of young people from the community of Solidaridad.   Many of the children in this former squatter's community/social housing project live in extreme poverty and have limited access to quality education.  Many never finish school due to family situations and limited economic resources.  Without access to quality education, these children have few opportunities to improve their situation and end the cycle of poverty.

We would like, with your support, to help provide an education for some of the most talented young people who participate in our Solidaridad Kid's Club.     For those children who demonstrate great potential, participate on a regular basis, and have limited economic resources, we would like to provide them with basic school supplies including notebooks, backpacks, uniforms, and shoes.  For those children with the greatest academic potential, we would  like to provide scholarships for them to attend one of Granada's private Catholic schools.  In the long term, for those young people whocomplete high school and  demonstrate academic excellence, we hope to provide small scholarships to allow them to attend the university or a vocational training program.

A donation of as little as $40 can provide all of the supplies a child needs to begin the school year.
