Call for Interns

While we work to match all qualified interns in positions with local communities and organizations, we do have special request for the following:

MOBILE LIBRARY/LITERACY PROJECT   Take books to kids in marginalized and rural areas and share the joy of reading with children and teach others to read.

PRE - MED MAJORS - to work in local clinics, with doctors and patients.  Gain practical and hands on experience in a healthcare facility.  

PUBLIC HEALTH MAJORS - to work in health education and local clinics.  We have a special need for work in REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH EDUCATION as part of a campaign to save the lives of women who are denied access to medical abortions, or abortions preformed when the life of the mother is at risk (for example, young girls and women with cancer).  This is a new campaign that all organizations are collaborating on throughout Granada.

BUSINESS/INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT MAJORS - To start up small businesses

PSYCHOLOGY AND SOCIOLOGY MAJORS - To work with high risk youth,  the children and families of Nicaraguan emigrants, to address issues of domestic violence, and to start clubs for children to teach about gender roles, communication, and address family issues.

ART MAJORS - for crafts and mural projects.

PHYSICAL THERAPY MAJORS - To work alongside physical therapists and assist with therapy and rehabilitation.  Special requests for pediatric specialists who can work with parents to help with home rehabilitation programs .
