Intern Testimonials

A FEW QUOTES FROM THIS YEAR'S INTERNS....EMAIL US IF YOU WOULD LIKE MORE TESTIMONIALS OR CONTACT INFORMATION FROM PAST INTERNS

I have been home for two days and I already miss Granada so much. I wanted to thank you so much for the amazing experience I had. You were awesome, and things really couldn't have gone any better. The trip really reaffirmed that medicine is what I want to do and that I want to work for and help people in poverty. – Chistine Nasca, 2008

Thank you so much for everything--your support, your passion, your friendship.

You have an amazing program and I feel honored to have had the chance to participate in it.

-Sarah Leadem, 2008

Because of the support of Carrie and the other Viva Nicaragua! staff, my experience in Nicaragua was the best it could have been. Carrie was always there for me, whether I had a problem at my internship site, with my host family, or with the many cultural differences I encountered. I not only gained in depth knowledge of women's issues in Nicaragua through my internship, but Carrie also made sure I was able to see other projects going on in the area. At the end of my two months I felt as if I had truly made the best of my time there. I learned more than I possibly could have imagined and I feel that through my work down there I was able to leave something behind.
Marion Pope, 2008

You provided so much support and were always quick to come to my rescue when I needed support...Interns will have a truly authentic encounter with a culture drastically different from their own...they will leave understanding development work, the issues in Nicaragua, and themselves better. - Allison Ogle

I was actually suprised at how fast carrie responded to m emails before my arrival. It quickly became clear to me how organized Viva! is. Thank you.....Carrie was extremely helpful, suportive, and personable. - Wren Albertson Rogers
